Acabei de descobrir que o dia de hoje – 31 de Agosto – é o dia estabelecido para celebrar o Blogging. Mais alguém já conhecia esta data associada ao mundo dos blogs? Aparentemente a data foi escolhida pelo facto dos números 31/08 se assemelharem à palavra “blog”.
I just found out that today – August 31st – is the established day for bloggers all around the world to celebrate Blogging. Did you know about this celebration? Apparently the date 31/08 resembles the word “blog” so it only seemed fitting that blogging would be celebrated today.
Na página portuguesa da Wikipedia sobre o Dia do Blog diz que, neste dia, os bloggers devem publicar uma “mensagem para os seus leitores, apontando para outros blogs que achem interessantes” para que “possam descobrir novos blogs”.
E é precisamente isso que estou a preparar já no próximo post que vou publicar daqui a uns minutos. 🙂

On the Portuguese Wikipedia page for International Blog Day (I couldn’t find the English one) it says that on this day bloggers should post a little message to their readers poiting out some other blogs they find interesting. That way they’re readers will find new blogs to read and the blogger will be making a very nice gesture towards other bloggers.
We’ll, that’s exactly what I’m doing and we’ll be posting in a few minutes. 🙂
